Scrimshaw Western Style Knives Jar (6 pc)

The "Scrimshaw Western Style Knife" collection boasts four "hand-engraved" images (Wolf, Bald Eagle, Tiger, and Indian Chief) onto genuine camel bone.    The Scrimshaw Western Style Knife is easily identified by the "bee symbol" mounted on the top of the back lock.  It's a sturdy but elegant knife.  It comes with an "all leather" sheath that provides outstanding protection and convenient storage.  The unique western-style design makes it an excellent knife for both indoor and outdoor activities.  The knife can be easily attached to your belt or keep in your pocket or stored in a purse.  The knife handle is made from genuine smoothed camel bone.  Blades come in either a 440 stainless steel or Damascus 1095 and 15n20 steel which is formed with a "twisting" forging technique.  The knife is hand forged and hand made in Pakistan according to our unique Red Duck Knives brand specifications.

Brief History of Scrimshaw
Scrimshaw is an early American art form originating from the whaling industry in the late 1700's.  During the many idle hours at sea, a whaler etched drawings of nautical themes on items such as whale teeth or bone.  His primary etching instrument was a sail needle, nail, or pocket knife.  After he scratched his artwork into the surface of the bone, he would rub lamp black or tobacco juice into the scratches to reveal the drawing.  As America traveled West, the frontiersman carried the art form with them, applying it to their powder horns, knives, and other accouterments.

The "product jar" can serve as a"standalone merchandiser" or it can be included in one of our "multi-product displays".  It offers your customers the unique opportunity to see, touch and test knives without the assistance of your store staff.  Customers can spend as much time as they want to "fall in love" with that special knife.  Once they have decided to buy, all your staff has to do ring up the sell...it's that easy!
